| About TPJ: Texans for Public Justice is a non-profit, non-partisan research and advocacy organization, which tracks the influence of money and corporate power in Texas politics. Texans for Public Justice is a vocal advocate for citizen rights, open government and corporate accountability in Texas. More information about TPJ: http://www.tpj.org Internship Description: TPJ is seeking 2 part-time interns (15 hr/week) for the summer semester. Internship start and end dates are flexible. TPJ interns are asked to help with research projects, database work, administration and outreach. Intern projects may include: updating Access databases of political contributions and lobby contracts, using Access databases to compile data for reports, conducting research, following state legislation, updating our press mailing list and completing some administrative tasks. Internship Requirements: The following skills would be useful for the internship, but are not required for working with TPJ. We hope to match interns with projects that will fit with their interests and skill sets. Helpful skill areas: writing, research, data entry, attention to detail, organizing, outreach, legislative experience, knowledge of Texas politics and familiarity with Microsoft Access.
