We’re seeking an experienced corporate communications professional -- or a journalist who’s been on the other side -- to help us get the word out about our damn-fine company.
Software Advice is a demand generation company serving software and cloud application companies. We’re growing fast, we’ve got a powerful culture, and we get it done in a cavernous and cool office in SoCo. What we don’t have is an awesome corporate communications manager.
We’re looking to hire someone with five to twenty years of journalism or corporate communications experience to:


Reach out and build relationships with relevant press peeps;
Get us positive coverage in meaningful web publications;
Conceive of and write -- often ghostwrite -- great content on our blog;
Build links to our website from other super-trusted websites; and,
Extend our “employer brand” to attract more great candidates.


Our ideal candidate:


Has five to twenty years of journalism or corporate communications experience;
Is extroverted and not afraid to use the phone to hunt down press/sources;
Can write like whoa and fast -- seriously, you gotta write good;
Is crazy organized - the person in college with the color-coded binders, highlighters, etc.;
Is super optimistic and happy -- no Debbie Downers;
Has a history of success (you probably had a really high GPA in undergrad); and,
Makes decisions based on a strong ethical constitution.


You will report into Marketing, but work directly with the CEO on a day-to-day basis. Bring your A-game. Oh and bring your ambition, because we succeed by hiring people who want to achieve more, faster. We’ll give you a lot of opportunity, and set you free to go for it.
There will be a lot of research and writing to do. If your capabilities are more on the “reach out” side and less on the research and write side, this might not be the right role for you.
