Board Production Test Technician – Austin

Introduction Cirrus Logic is seeking highly skilled electrical engineering technicians with a specialization in the development and execution of automated tests for and the debugging and repair of electronic platforms to join our fast-paced leading-edge team of professionals supporting the mixed-signal audio design industry.   Responsibilities As a board production test technician, you will be responsible for the development and execution of automated test procedures for all mixed-signal audio evaluation platforms as well as the diagnosis and repair of all test failures.  You will be responsible for writing and executing validation plans for each development platform and documenting their results.  You will also be responsible for assisting our team of mixed-signal applications engineers with the diagnosis of field failures, testing for compliance certifications, gathering performance data for publication, and the assembly, modification, and testing of prototype circuitry.   Qualifications include: ·          Strong competency in electrical circuit troubleshooting. ·          Strong competency in the use of basic electrical engineering lab equipment. ·          Knowledge of and experience with Audio Precision hardware and software. ·          Knowledge of and experience with the Visual Basic language. ·          Knowledge of and experience with PowerLogic and PowerPCB or other schematic entry and printed circuit board layout software. ·          Excellent time management skills. ·          Knowledge of and experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. ·          Previous experience with board production test development and execution. ·          Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.   Educational and Professional Requirements: Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree with an electronics focus.  Prior experience as an electronics technician is required.  Prior experience in the field of automated test development and execution is preferred.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
