Freescale Corporate Aviation DepartmentThe purpose of the Freescale Corporate Aviation Department is to provide world wide, on-demand air transportation for the Freescale Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in a safe, secure, and efficient manner. This transportation capability benefits Freescale by providing the SLT the ability to quickly respond to internal and external business demands thereby maintaining and improving Freescale's competitive edge in today's rapidly changing business environment.The Maintenance Technician reports to the Aviation Maintenance Manager and under the operational control of the Maintenance Coordinator with the responsibility of maintaining company aircraft in an airworthy condition in compliance with Federal Air Regulations and the standards of Freescale. Primary Duties:The maintenance of all aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness compliance with all Federal Air Regulations.Perform inspections as outlined in the company?s maintenance program using the manufacturers approved methods and techniques.Perform pre-flight inspections, cleaning interior and exterior of aircraft, clearing discrepancies and insuring that the aircraft is in an airworthy condition.Ensure completion of required records and documentation for work performed.Keep abreast of and maintain a current working knowledge of the procedures, parts, and tools needed to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on company aircraft.Must comply and observe all company and departmental safety rules and regulations.At the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator a technician?s assignments may include the duties and responsible of an inspector.At the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator technicians may be asked to oversee the work of another shift or to be an on site representative for work outside Freescale?s facilities.Fuel and tow aircraft as necessary.May be asked to assume responsibility in the following areas:1. Hangar safety related items.2. Shipping and receiving of items.3. Ordering and stocking of parts.4. Tool and instrument calibration.5. Manual revisions.6. Perform Flight Engineer duties.7. Assist in cleaning and maintaining the hangar/office facility.8. Assist passenger departure, arrivals and provide a top level of customer service.9. Have a working and useable knowledge of the MEL use and procedures for each of Freescale?s aircraft.10. May be asked to travel to perform maintenance on the aircraft away from home base.
Requirements:
Familiarity with aircraft operationsA&P License required
